Dr. Brose is a practicing Pain Specialty physician with over 30 years of clinical experience, including founding the Stanford University Pain Service in 1989 where he remains as a clinical professor engaged in teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.

He is a pioneer in the establishment of Chronic Pain management best practices and has supported providers in guideline-compliant prescribing, through opioid risk assessment, informed consent/patient education and management of opioid monitoring exceptions/red flags.

​

He has also created opportunities for providers to shift patients from pain alleviation oriented beliefs and treatments to goal oriented functional rehabilitation and chronic pain self-management.

​

He not only brings with him the knowledge of pain medicine, but also his experience testifying in court on behalf of his clients that provide the additional advantage to the cases he takes on.
